In 2013, I published a novella, "Sword of the Undead," which is Bram Stoker's "Dracula," re-written with the vampire a Japanese lord, and the slayer, legendary swordsman, Yagyu Jubei. This blog is sort of the sequel. My thought processes on the character as I write the novel. It's about 140 years later, and Kageura is ressurrected. Jubei is still around, and once again, the two will battle. Other items related to the supernatural, both fiction and non-fiction will also be posted.

Kageura Entry: Lots of Japanese
I was among the first of the Japanese to move to the United States. I am sure I was the first in Los Angeles. I am in a part of town where many of the business signs are written in Japanese and Roman characters. Many Japanese must have moved here after I did. I wonder if they are samurai blood or peasant blood. No matter. Perhaps I will find many warriors here. But, my warriors need not be Japanese, any nationaity will do, as long as they have the warrior spirit.
